The ‘Brucf Herald’ is editorially spiteful, and incorrect in its premises besides. Interest in Green Island coal, and Tuapeka and Waitahuna lignatc, did not affect the voting on the Tokomairiro branch railway; and it is only bare justice to Mr Gii,i,tes to sav that he urged as strongly as he could the desirability of constructing this line.
