SPIRITUALISM.

To the Editor. Sib,—Kindly permit me to state that some lime in January last I read a letter on spiritcare, signed “ Margaret M'Coll,” in one of the daily papers. My wife being then in a very hopeless state of decline, the consequence of lung-disease of several years’ standing, and ail other available means having failed to restore her to health, I resolved likewise to try spiritcure, and, through the introduction of amend, arranged for her to attend the circle of Mr Jackson, of Great King street. She attended only twice, and with the best results. On the first occasion the controlling spirit—a doctor, without doubt—after giving a description of her illness and its cause, prescribed treatment. He requested very particularly that his prescription should be observed in tul its details, and that at the expiration of two months she was to return to the circle. My wife carried out these instructions, and at the end of the term named again attended, but this time much improved in health. A (mange in the treatment was next effected, and under it she has now almost quite recovered. I was < present on noth these occasions, and take this opportunity of thanking Mr Jackson and the members of his circle fer enabling us to Sartake of the great good their circle is nn* oubtedly the means of doing for suffering humanity. I enclose my card, and subscribe myself _ , Fbbuxdsohapt, Dunedin, June 7.
