CURIOUS ACCIDENT.

The ‘ South Canterbury Times,’ of May 20, states that a serious accident befel Mr W. C. Andrews, of Geraldine, on Tuesday last. It appears that Mr Andrews was up at the Timaru Hospital, inspecting the new concrete bull ding now in course of erection, and by some means or another a board fell from above, striking him on the head, whereby ho received a severe concussion of the brain. He was taken inside the Hospital and received medical attendance. On Wednesday there were but faint hopes held out of his recovery.
