CAVERSHAM ROAD BOARD.
The Cavoraham Hood Board met in the School, house last night j present—Messrs Carey, Jackson, Rutherford -(in the chair), Bridgemon, U’Een Wilson, Langmuir, and Jones. The tender of E Carson and Co. was accepted for formation of Mills street, St. Hilda, at Li per ehoin. A. letter was received from Mr Wm. Meade offering to complete the metalling of Seafield road to the Forburyroad at 3s 4d per yard, and to allow the account to stand over till next year’s rates were collected. The offer was accepted. The Inspector was instructed to improve Sydney street, leading to Maryhill, the amount to bo spent not to exceed L3O ■ to fifty or sixty yards of rotten hock on Alfred street,_ Barley; to spread material for footpaths in Kensington; to put himself in communication with tho owners of cattle for infringing the bye laws, and to warn them that they will be prosecuted if they do not desist, A letter was received from Mr Kennedy, offering sections 16 and 35, and part of section 9, block 1, Kew, which offer was accepted, the Board being thus enabled to con. tmue Hillside road in a straight line toForinuy road, instead of a sharp bond as formerly.’ The road will ho formed as speedily as possible. The Chairman was appointed to represent the Board at the Conference of Eoad Boards. In regard to the annual elections, Messrs • Rutherford and Bridgman retired hy rotation, and Mr Jones by ballot; Mr Wilson was appointed returning officer for the higher tnhdivision, Mr A. U’Een for the middle, and Mr Carey for the lower.
