CHINESE MISSIONARY.
To the Editor. In the Stab s report of a meeting held on the 27th ulf„ to ’* consider what steps should be taken to carry the Gos el to Chinese reaidents in Otago,” it is stated that the necessity for the appointment of a missionary to continue the work begun by Paul Ah Chin, who had left the Province, was urged by Dr Stuart.” Mr Paul Ah Chin desires to have the statement that he has left the Pro\i,ice contradicted* He has not lefc, and has no intention of leav* ing, but continues his evangelistic work amongst his countrymen residing in Tuapeka and the surrounding districts.—! am, &0., T ~ A.
