At the first day’s races yesterday the Weather was good and the attendance was large ; bn > the sport was not nearly ao good as at previous meetings, when the events were better contested. The Hurdle Race lay between Tommy Dodd and Ivanhoe, but there was not from the first a doubt but that the former would pull it off. The Maiden Plato was well contested, but the Cup was a moral for Castaway. Hdbdlb Race L4O j two miles; over eight flights of hurdles ; welter weights for age. Mr P.
