Nichols.—Claim LlO7 17s, half oost due for the erection of a fence.—Mr Haggitt appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Harris for defendant.—From the evidence it appears that the defendant entered into an agreement with the plaintiff, who is a runholder at Tapanui, to pay half the cost for the erection of a boundary fence on their runs. The plaintiff gave defendant to understand that the oost would not exceed L6O each; but on completion the total amounted to L 215 14s, When the bill was sent in, the defendant refused |to pay more than the estimated price of plaintiff.— Judgment was reserved.
