PRINCESS THEATRE.

Lie Hunchback,” one of the best of Sheridan Knowles’s plays, constituted the programme at the Princess’s yesterday evening, and passed off most successfully. The house was well filled, and the piece was played with such spirit, and every member of the company showed such care that the applause was loud and frequent. Master Walter is one of Mr Hoskins’s best and most favorite characters, and his rendering had lost none of its vigor since we last saw him take the part. Miss Colville, as Julia, left little to be desired ; while Miss Stoneham had a suitable part in that of the merry Helen. Of the male characters, Mr Steele’s Sir Thomas Clifford was most noticeable. This evening, “ Masks and Faces,” and “ The Loan of a Lover” will be given.
