THE GOVERNOR’S VISIT.
It appears that his Excellency the Governor will reach the Waitaki, the boundary of the Province, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, and will be the guest of Mr John M'Lean at Redcastle, two miles north of Oamaru. As his Excellency proposes to reach Dunedin in good time on Friday, he requires to be at Palmerston ." , . ,rs “ a y evening, which will give him very j public works in Oamaru and the district itself, at which the Unmaruitea, as our telegrams yesterday stated, are greatly disgusted. It is, however, possible that his Excellency may be prevailed upon to stay at Oamaru the best part of a day, and tbe local municipal authorities have determined to present ah address and expend LSO in the reception of |he Governor. On the evening of Thursday, May 6. his Excellency will be the guest of Mr John Oong;as, at Mount Royal The Govenor's stay m Dunedm will extend over ten days or a fortnight. ‘
