ENDORSING BILLS.
To the Editor.
Sra,—Tour astute correspondent of yesterday in instancing our case “ Sargood v. M’lntosh,” is misled by appearances. . \Ve did not care to explain matters after Mr Justice Chapman’s remarks, seeing the verdict was in our favor. Prima facie, no doubt, we seemed not to have understood our business; but it was only prima facie. We had done before, and hhve often done since, tantamount to the same thing we did in the case cited, and we are perfectly in so doing. If Mr Stamper prepares deeds as safely as we draw bills, his clients will haVe little to fear.—l am, &c., H T ■ Dunedin, April 9. ’ *,
