OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
To the Editor. Sib, It seems to me and many old members of the Otago Rifle Association that the Oounoil of the Association have been elected to do nothing, as the only piece of business tram-
*ted by the Oeunoil was to elect a President one more worthy) two Vice Presidents, and te give instructions to their Secretary to write to the different Companies asking them to nominate a member each to the Council. Now, sir, ®bat request was complied with .by the majority . Companies. I would therefore suggest to the Council the advisability of either holding a meeting, so that those Companies’ representatives may know and report to the different Companies the reason. why the Counted do not intend holding a meeting this season. I know for certain that the National Association’s medal is in Dunedin; they have also Mr' Mason’s Challenge Cup—and Ido not suppose the latter gentleman ever thought it was to be held by a member for two years in succession, and during one of those years a shot never to be fired for it.—l am, &o M - • Nolens. Dunedin, Apnl 10.
