ENTERTAINMENTS.
THE PRINCESS THEATRE. There was no change of programme at the Princess Theatre last evening. The performance generally does not require special comment. THE HIBERNICON. This company re-opened at the Queen’s Theatre yesterday evening, and the high esti mation in which they are justly held was evidenced by the large numbers who attended, the house being crowded in nil parts. Mr Henry Baker, the lecturer, sang “The meeting of the waters” with exquisite feeling and pathos, his enunciation being clear and distinct; Mr W. if. leaker’s rich tenor voice was heard to great advantage in the habad, “ My heart is thine alone Mr Vomer's songs, “ The Dunedin policeman ” and “ Hokitika gold ” were vociferously applauded; while Mr Moran crowned all by his unequalled and admirable representations of Irish character, and hia “bone solo ” was received with marked favor, Owing to the late arrival of the company from the South yosterd iy, aiv-uigeiiieoH could not be completed fot the engage-men* of ladies to take the place of those who have formerly appeared with the troupe, but we ere given to understand the “ fresh taler, f' will appear this evening.
