CITY POLICE COURT.
WEDNESDAY, MaECH 24. (Before Messrs A. Mercer and C. Flexmau, Esq s., J.F.’s) Drunkenness. Charles Walker, charged with this offence, was let off with a caution ; John Wilson, Charles Goodall, James Jj. w, and Kdward bay were each fined ss, with the alternative of twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. A charge against James Richards was withdrawn by the police. Fraud,— A oha ge against Fann O’Lliviee, of obtaining goods from the shop of Messrs Herbert, Haynes, and Co., by means of false pretences, was adjourned till Saturday ; accused to bo admitted to bail on her own recognisance of (AO and one surety of LIO. . Theft.—lsaac Morrison, charged with stealing six pair of boots from the fire at Oamaru on the 20th inst., was ordered to appear this day week.
