Nexsoit, March 20.—The Taranaki encountered a very heavy gale from the north-east between New Plymouth and Nelson. She took shelter under Dnrville’s island. She sails south at eight a.m. tomorrow morning. Mias Christian is a passenger. Auckland, March 21.—The Boron Aberdare has arrived, with 160 immigrants, after a voyage of 95 days ftom Plymouth. All well The immigrants were landed to-day. The Bio* Loge. Flirt, and Sir Isaac Newton arrived from Lyttelton, and the Mary Melville, from the East. Coast. 'During the voyage of the Mary Melville, James Seer, supercargo, fell overboard through a lurch of the vessel ana was drowned. • Westpoet, March 21.-* Arrived, this morning, the Maori, from Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and the Sounds. Owing to a heavy south-west gale after leaving Jackson’s Bay,'she held no communication with Hokitika and Greymonth, She will probably return to the latter port on Tuesday. She has four-' teen passengers, principally tourists.
