Thursday, March 18. (Before T. A Hansford, Esq., R.M.) CIVIL CASE. G. Shopland v. J. M'Arthur.—This was a charge of wilful disobedikpce of orders on board the ship Mallowdale during her voyage from London to this port— His Worship, after carefully going over the evidence, considered sufficient proof had not been given ,of the defendants having slept on his watch, and the other charges of wilful disobedience of orders were not verified. He thought the Captain "onldhave done well on the second occasion, when he stated the mate was sleeping, to have woke him up and cautioned him. Judgment was given for defendant, with costs.
