The amount of revenue received at the Ous-ftom-houae on cleared for consumption this day was L 1,045 13s lid. Messrs M‘Landress, Hepburn, and Co. to day sold sections 25 and 27, Melrose, with dwelling house, for L3lO. The subject has been introduced to the leading London companies, and approved of by them.” Harvesting is progressing rapidly throughout the district, and some of the farmers have commenced to thrash out. The yield generally will be good, greatly in excess of that of the last two years, and, if the favorable weather continues, the crops will be saved in fine condition. A good deal of damage was done by the high winds of last week, particularly about the Utepopo district, in many places the loss reachbushels per acre. Deliveries of new gram are expected to take place next week. Meantime we have still to note no transactions, and quotations cannot safely be given. Opening prices will, however, rule much lower than was at one time anticipated, owing to the low * at Tvr m ling b °v il . at Hmrni and Australia; oats m Melbourne being fully a shilling lower than this time last year; present rate in that market being 4s 4d equal to 3s 2d free on board in Oamaru Bay.— ‘ N, O.
