A CAUTION.

To the Editor. 6- IK, —I am informed that some enterprising young gentleman has been obtaining aims from residents in the parish of Ail Saints’, and an he his done so by using my name, I desire to slate that I have given no person authority to appeal to the public for aid. His touching talo is, 1 understand, that he is the; oldest of live orphans, and that I r.m taking an interest in Hie welfare of the family. I beg to state that I know of no such case in the parish. As in Dunedin every appeal to public charity is promptly responded to, I think it but right that fictitious eases should be exposed.—lam, &c,, James Kirby. All Saints’ School, 3rd February.
