Jane towed the schooner Fiery Cross down from Dunedin. The s.s. Maori arrived from the West Coast and Northern Ports at 3.15 p.m. The schooner Pioneer, for Shag Point, beat down from Dunedin this morning. The American war steamer Swatara will take her departure for Hobart Town this evening. The s.s. Easby, for Newcastle via the North, sailed this morning shortly after the arrival of the 7 o’clock train from Dunedin. The steamers Omeo. for Newcastle via Northern and West Coast ports, and Wanganui, for the Bluff, sailed last evening. The coasters Spec and Edith Reid have finished taking on board a cargo of sleepers from the ship Wildwood, and will sail this evening. The barque Annie Lisle, having lightened sufficiently, will proceed to Dunedin at high water, where she will discharge the remainder of her timber.

The ketch Kestrel, the last addition to Messrs Guthrie and Lamach’s coastal fleet, was taken off Isbister’s slip last evening, when the ketch Lloyd’s Herald was taken on for repairs. The ketch Jessie was taken on Fletcher’s slip at high water. p. s, Samson arrived last night at 10 o’clock, and steamed alongside the Invercargill to dischaige 161 bales of wool. Afte. discharging them she steamed alongside the Waikato to discharge 30 bales, and then passed up to Dunedin. The s.B. Express left the Bluff on Monday night, for Riverton, and touched on a reef of rocks inside the harbor, and split one ot her plates on the poi t side. After getting off she returned to the Bluff and took iu a cargo of timber; left the Bluff at- eight p.ra. last night, and arrived at Port Chalmers at three p.m. The fine Hobart Town barque Queen of the Seas arrived at the Heads at 11 o’clock last night, came to anchor, got under way again this morning with a fine N.E. breeze, and sailed np as far as Grassy Point, when she touched the bank. It being ebb tide, she will rem dn there until high water this evening. Besides a large cargo of Hobart Town produce, she brings twenty powerful young draught horses fn splendid condition, consigned to Captain Robinson, who ii tends to offer them by public auction at an early date. Captain Robinson reports leaving Hobart Town on the sth instant, and cleared the land same day; had strong variable winds across until making the Solanders on the 10th ; passed the Nuggets on the 12th, and thence had light winds until making the Heads. Ltttelton, January 14,—The Elizabeth Graham cleared out yesterday for Lendon. The value of her cargo is estimated at L 83,000.
