The weekly meeting of the Board was held this morning; prtuent—The Chief Commissioner, Messrs Bastings, Butterworth, Clarke, Reid, and Strode. The matter was postponed till the levels are taken. Warden Simpson reported on Mr A'. C. Thomson’s application for pre emptive right on run 337. Approved, pending the surveyor’s plans and report. Mr Peter Leitch asked a refund on sections purchased by him at Hull, the auctioneer having offered the laud at L 5 instead of L 3 per section. The Board recommended tbo Government to refund L2 per section to applicant.

Mr F. R. Chapman, for Mrs Johanna Lewis, asked that the lease of section 18, block 4, and section 24, block 14, i uapeka Fast, be cancelled, and the value of improvements thereon be paid her. On appearing, Mr Caapman requested that the matter be adjourned. Granted. A memorial of settlers at Nokomai was read asking that a block of land should be brown open under the deferred payment system on run 214, at present occupied by vlr J. Rodgers. Referred to Government. Mr Reid moved that the unsold land in Waikoikoi Hundred, being l«nd of special value, be again advertised for sale by auction, in terms of clause 85 of the Act. Sale to be held at Lawrence, on February 23 ; upset price as before, L2 per acre. Agreed to.

Messrs Chappie and North applied for a license to construct a water-race for ir iga. tion and d mestic purposes,'commencing at Chatto Creek and terminating at section 33, block 1, Tiger Hill. Actual survey to be submitted before consideration. Ihe following applications tvere made for pre-emptive rights under agricultural leases : Mr T. C. Low, run 326, Waikaia; Mr D. VPKellar, run 194 ; Mr Alex. Hrant, run 327. agreed to, subject to survey, and in accordance with frontage. One pre-emptive right of 640 acres only to be allowed to each run.

Mr Robert Short applied for protection to prospect for minerals on runs I2a, 12b, 217 a and 217b. Six month**’granted. Mr Daniel Stevenson applied to purchase section 13, block 7, Waitahuna Kast, 49 acres ; and Mr Wnu Smith section 27, block 2, Tuapeka West, 48 acres, 3 roods, 34 poles. Both were referred to Government.

The Ist of January and 12th of July were fixed as the dates of commencement of exchanged agricultural leases for deferred pay. meat leases and licenses. Rent due for broken periods to be charged with first rent due.

Mr Reid moved that the minute of De* cember 30, 1874, numbered 2, be rectified so as to conform exactly to the rough minute of the same date and number. Agreed to.
