RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Wednesday, January 6. (Before T. A. Hansford, Esq., E.M.) Drunkenness —Julius Percy, for this offmce, was fined ss, with the option of twenty -four hours’ imprisonment. A charge against Ellen O'Leary was adjourned till next day, the Sub-Inspector stating that accused bad refused todres* herself, and consequently hj. d to be Ifrft in the cell. Theft. —Thon riock was charged with stealing from a dwelling-house at Porbu'-j, on the 4sh instant, one silver lever huntin watch of the value of 1,8 10a, the property <J bin Ghee, gardener.—At the request of the prisoner, the case was adjourned till next day. CIVIL CASES. Judgment was given by default in the following cases, with costs Dr Reimer v. W. Edward, claim LlB I Os, for medical attendance ; Uray and Drummond v. Waters, L2l 19s 8d ; Cooper v. I'ieasely, L 5 16s ; Pearce v. Lambert, L 6 18a; Davidson v. George Thomson, L2 10s; Collie and another v. Brown, L2 16s 1 Od, for goods supplied. (Left sitting.)
