Wellington, December 31. The barque Jung Frau haa arrived from London. She brings five thoroughbred horses and twenty-six pure-bred rams and ewes for Napier. Four rams, valued at 200 guineas each, were lost on the voyage. The ball to be given to the Governor and Lady Normanby is fixed for the 7th of January. Auckland, December 31. Several Auckland firm, encouraged by the annexation of Fiji, are (establishing branch houses at Levuka. Scab is very prevalent among the Native flocks on the East Coast. The advertisement for 100 men for the Kaipara Railway met with only a partial response.
