RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Wednesday, December 30. (Before J. Logan and J. Brown, Esqs., J.P.’s) Neglected Child. Robert. Rodgers, eleven years’ old, was charged with being a neglected child, be having been found sleep* ing in an open yard at 2 a.in. on December SO. Me was found by Sergeant Anderson at Mie hour stated asleeu beside the wall of the Provincial Hotel stable. He stated that he redded ia Filleul street, that his father il [treats him, and that he was afraid to go home. Readmitted that he was frequency in the habit of stopping out at nk-hfc The Bench committed him to the Industrial School for four years, and ord-red him to be brought up iu the Presbyterian faith. Tijeft, Mary Fleming was charged, on remand, with stealing sundry quantities of dranery and wearing apparel of the value of L 52 10s lOd, the property of her employers, Messrs Herbert, Hay nos and Oo._When the charge was called on, on thepr vious day, the accused fainted and the case had to bs postponed till to-day, when she again fainted, and she was further remanded to the sth of January.
