A SUGGESTION.
To the Editor. Sir,— Much having been said on the subject of cremation, I beg leave to be flowed to raise my voice in favor of this thoroughly useful practical idea, but I think arising out o. it there may be m improvement. ’ I am of a business vphich requires that I should polish certain'ornaments' in the highest nos: sib e ma.ner. and I find that I can ohlydo so by usi* g certain appliances and he finest part of the stem of my hand. Now, t suegest that before the article is cremated the skin should be taken off and properly prepared ; it would not only be of usi for the purpo-e n m-d, but when brought into the market would be found useful for many other purposes, and thus add another source of delicate enjoyment for the gratification of this luxurious and refined age, out there is another mode of bringing the bodies of our deceased friends' within the influence of the law of corhbustion—whether skinned or unskinned msy be a matter of taste or a qufes. tion ot profit—vi«., bury them mUme.—l am, &c., + Dunedin, December 23.
