AN APOLOGY.
To the Editor. Fir, —Permit mo. before leaving the town, to apologise to the North-east Valley residents for causing them so much grid and anxiety about that letter I wrote. I did not mean that any of their sons had stolen money from their masters. I simply beg to warn them to supply vhe : r sons with proper pocket money, as I have a son who got himself if to trouble by me not giving him pocket money. When 1 asked him why he had so disgraced me he replied “because yon cave roe no pocket money, father. I must have some money to sgend.”—l am. <Vc., The Sufferer. Dunedin, December 12.
