TOKOMAIRIRO FARMERS’ CLUB.
(From the Bruce Herald.) The annual show of stock, poultiy, dairy produce and agricultural implements, under the auspices of the Tokomairiro Farmers’ Club, was held yesterday, and was a very great success. The entries in some of *he more important clas-es were remarkable for qua* tit y and exc* fence, a»d the public attended in very large numbers. The classes most worthy of notice were those of horses and sheep. In the former there were seme remarkably fine animals of all description on the ground, conspicuous amongst them being Mr Go rge < ooirbe’s well known old thorou hbr d 8.-uwon. d the masn ficent draught entire Iron Duke In sheep, Vlr James Allan carried off all the honors in some departments ; but. that dal not prevent several of the pens of o her exhibitors attracting attent’on from the spectators In cattle the exhibits were rather above the average and Messrs M'Laren, Thomas Murray, Paton, and others who tm-k priz s, exhibited animals of which any district might be proud.
