PORT CHALMERS RAILWAY.
To the Editor, Sir,— lwasmuch surprised at the proposed alteration intended to bo made in the Port Chalmers time table. How can a working man get; up to Dunedin in time to commence Ins work at 8 o’clock ? I bought aac tion at Havers bourne on the faith of being able to attend my work in the City by means of a convenient train Mow I must either leave my house, even if it were possible to get one or walk up every morning, which is great hardship to a man who has to tod all day at his labor, I kuow upwards of twenty placed in the same position as my. self, and as many more who would have had buildings erected in a month at Havensbonne, but will not do sq now. I trust the railway authorities will see to this, and afford an opportunity to those who wish to get homes a little cut of the City, of being able to come to th»ir work at eight o’clock in the morning.—l am, &c., Dunedin, November 28.
