Die Out. tcai-house os. cleared or consumptici thia day was LI,GS3 Is TOIL Messrs Maclean Brothers report for week ending 12th November as follows : Fat Cattle. —At the weekly market on Wednesday last about 100 head were yarded, which were all taken by the trade at prices fully up to late quotations. Our sales consisted of 50 head on account of AXessrs G. Nicliol, Cordon, and others, the most of which were prime quality, and were actively competed for, bullocks realising from Ll2 5s to LIS, and cows from Lll 7s Gd to LKi 15s per head. We quote really prime beef, 40) to 45s per XOOlhs. Medium and inferior,. 40s to 355. Tat Sheep.—About 1,000 of all sorts were Eenned, but, on account of many of the trade aving supplied themselves privately, only about 1,000 were sold, the b dance being held over till next week. Our sales consisted of another draft of 500 crossbreds and merinos on account of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, Limited, which were all taken by the trade at 22s 9d each for crossbreds, and from 16s to 16s Gd each for merinos. Wo quote prime crossbred mutton, 4*l to 5d per lb • do merino, 4d. ’ Fat Calves. —None forward. Fat Lambs.—Over 100 were penned, some of which were very inform- quality. We sold 52 fair to good at from 9s to 12s each. We have also sold 200 dining the Week tor forward delivery. Store Cattle are now in good demand and may be quoted at from L 5 10s to L 6 10s for good well-gi own bullocks, and from L 3 10s to wkrM? 1 ’ c r°' vs - We held a sale of 300 head at the West iaieri yards, this day, on account of Messrs Aysoa and Grant, when all the lots offered were disposed of at satisfactory prices We shaU also sell at the same place, onTuesday next, the 17th instant, 250 head first-class bullocks, sneyed cows, and heifers from the P>ellamy herd, which are so well known for their good breeding and fattening qualities. Store Sheep.—As ruuholdeus and othe-s arc now preparing to commence shearing we do not expect to have any transactions to report in this class of stock for some time. Cross-bred and merino wethers, in the woo], may be quoted at from 13s to 14s each for the former, and from 10s to 11s each for the latter Merino ewes, with crossbred lambs at foot KL to 12s each. 3 Stud blimp.—We beg to call the particular attention of stockowners and others to our sale of pure Lincoln rams and ewes, which wilt be held at our stores, Manse street, on Saturday the 21st instant, when we shall offer 19 pure Lincoln rams and 10 owes, all 2-tooth, just landed, ex Calypso, from Loudon, and wiiicli can now be seen at our stoics, Manse street. We shall also sell by auction, on Wednesday 30th December, at the Taieri show, the shorthorn bull Second Lari of Darlington, just landed, cx Calypso, from London, and now to be seen at the Glasgow Arms stables, Dunedin Wool and Sneepskins.—At our weekly sale on ±nday last there was a full attendance of i buyers, and all the lots catalogued realised full rates. We sold several odd bales of wool and a large number of sheepskins, which realised up to 7s Id for green half-breds ; do merino 5s 3d , dry station sicins from 3s to os Gd each according to weight. ‘ ’ Hides.—We catalogued 147 medium weights which were all disposed of at from 10s 9d to lift 9dj yearlings, 5s 3d to 7s 3d ; calfskins, 2s to 2s 3d. For the future our weekly sales of wool sheepskins, hides, tallow, &c.,\vi!l be held at our wool stores, Princes street south, every Fri day, at 3 o’clock. Grain.—Quotations remain unaltered viz Wheat, 5s 3d to 5s Gd ; medium, 4s 31 to 4s Gd Malting samples barley, 5s to 5s Gd ; medium’ 4s to 4s Gd.
