After a considerable delay at the post, in which Remnant's colors were conspicuous. Air Parker dismissed the lot on very even terms. Parawhenua, Remnant, and Tempk-tmi were in front, in the order named, Yattenna about a length behind, and Rang! last. They ran thus with vciy little alteration to the three-quarter-mile post, when Rungi drew up, ami the n-st wont pretty well together to the turn. Shortly afterwards Templeton took the lead, and Tadmor coming through Ids horses, got immediately on terms with him. From this home the jockeys were all at it. Passing the distancepost, Tadmor and Templeton were stilt in command, with Yatterina coming no. Tim two leaders raced home under the whip, stride for Templeton winning by haif a length, and \ atterina being beaten for second place by Tadmor by half a length. Time— Imiu 55sccs.
