Wellington, for Northern Ports, No. 13. Waikato, for London, December 15. The barque Duke of Edinburgh, for Newcastle, was towed to sea this morning by the tug Geelong. The schooner Jane Hannah arrived early this morning with,a full cargo of timber from Gatlin’s River, and passed up to Dunedin. The Harbor Company’s s.s. Bruce took on board transhipments from the ship Invercargill, and sailed last evening for Lyttelton and intermediate ports. The s.s. Easby finished discharging the remainder of her coals this afternoon and removed to the Graving Dock, where she will be taken in to have her bottom examined and recoated ■with anti-fouling composition. The Harbor Company’s s.s. Maori returned early this morning from her usual trip to Lyttelton and intermediate ports. She left Port Chalmers at 8 p.m. on the 30th and arrived at Timaru at 6.30 a.m. on the 31st, where she discharged 90 tons of cargo, lefc at 6.30 p.m., called at Akaroa, and arrived at Lyttelton at 10.30 a.m. on the Ist; discharged and took in cargo, and left for her return trip at 3.30 p.m. on the 3rd ; arrived at Akaroa at 8.2 ) p.m., left again at 10 p.m., and arrived at Timaru at 8.45 a.m. on the 4th ; left for Port Chalmers at 3.30 p.m., and arrived at the Heads at 1 a.m. this morning, having had fine weather during the passage. Messrs M‘Meckan, Blackwood’s s.s. Alhambra arrived at 6 p.m. yesterday from Melbourne via West Coast and Northern ports. She left Hobson’s Bay at 2.30 p.m. on the 24th, and cleared the Heads at 5,40 p.m.; passed Wilson’s Promontory at 4 a.m., and the Sisters at 2.30 p.m. on the 25th, light N. and N. W. winds with cloudy weather and head sea until the 28th, then light S. w . winds until arriving off Hokitika at 5.30 a.m. on the 30th ; left at 2.15 p.m., and arrived off Greymouth at 4 p.m.; left at 6 p.m., aud arrived at Nelson at 2 p.m, on the 31st; left again at 2.45 p.m on the Ist, and arrived at Wellington at 5 a m. on the 2nd; left again at 5.30 p.ra. same day, aud arrived at Lyttelton at 11 a.m. on the 3rd ; left again at 5 p.m., and called at Timaru at 0.30 a.m. on the 4th, and left again for Port Chalmers at 6 a.m., and arrived as above.
