Drunkenness. Henry Yesey, an old offender, was fined 20s; in default, three days imprisonment.
Neglected Child.— Edward Walsh, eight years of age, was brought before the Court by his parent, under the Neglected and Criminal Children’s Act, as ah incorrigible. The father said he was in poor eii» cumstances, and the boy’s mother being dead he could not provide for bis instruction, and his evil habits were unrestrained, he being quite unmanageable. The Bench committed the boy to the Industrial School for a term of two years; to be brought up in the Roman Catholic persuasion.' '
CIVIL CASE. J. H, Whelpdale v. Colehan.—-This was a suit for compensation for services rendered as barman and shepherd. Mr Harris appeared for plaintiff, and Mr E. Cook for defendant. Judgment was given for L 7 15s and costs, a set-off being disallowed.
