A WELL-FOUNDED COMPLAINT.

To the Editor. Sir, —I desire to call attention to a growing nuisance—viz., the fact of our street corners being (particularly at night) infested by crowds f f loafers. I refer especial-y to the corner of Rattray and Princes streets. No woman can pass along our streets now without being subjected to insult. In London, or any civilised pait of the world, no crowd of idle*s is allowtd to congregate to the annoyance of the general public, and why it should be tolerated he r e is more than 1 can understand. The. police should see to this nuisance before a disturbance takes place. I am, &c., Dunedin, October 13.
