SLY GROG SELLING.

To the Editor. Sir,— Will you kindly inform me which section of the new Licensing Act authorises a storekeeper (not the holder of a bottle license) to supply spirituous liquors to the public, And to children of tender years, during the hours of Divine service on Sundays. A publican is not allowed to supply drink to the public on Sunday, yet some storekeepers do so with impunity? I certainly think I shall go in for the sly grog business myself. I cannot see but what I have the same right to sell liquors as any other person has who is not th* holder of a license. Apologising for taking up so much of your time and space, I subscribe myself ~ „ . , Looker-on. Dunedin, October 6. [“ Looker-on ’’ bad better consult the police;—tr>. E.S ]
