Golden Age brought down the Chinese passengers for the ship Caroline yesterday afternoon. The ship will sail for Hong Kong to-morrow morning. The, brigantine Kate Brain sailed up this morning as far as Carey’s Bay, when the wind falling light, and it being ebb tide, she came to anchor. She has a full cargo of timber from Havelock. Captain Henry reports leaving Pelorus Sound on the 10th with N.W. winds, which lasted as far as the Peninsula, where she encountered a strong southerly gale, which continued for thirty-six hours ; thence had light N. winds to arrival at the Heads last night.
