AN Extraordinary General Meeting of the 6hareholders in the above (’ompany will be held at Parley’s hall, Princes street, in the v ity of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, on Monday, the 31st day of August, 1874, at the hour of two o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose ef confirming the following alterations in, and additions to, the Articles of Association of the said Company, which were approved and adopted at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders, held on Monday, 27th day of July, 1874, i.e. to say 1. In Article 17, for “ six,” read “three.” „ 2 ' . „ Articie 31 . “ first,” read “second.” 3. In Article 80, for “one month,” read “six weeks.” 4. In Article 83, insert “or posted to.” between ‘ • at ” and ‘ • the. ” ™ a^ d a new- Article, as follows ; 'Regulation 98—From and after the thirtyfirst day of August, 1874, no person or persons,_ firm or partnership, f hall individually or jointly hold more than 1,500 shares in the Company ; and it shall be the duty of the directors to decline to sanction or register any transfer of shares, if the effect of such sanction and registration would be to make any person or persons, firm or partnership, individually oi jointly, the holder or holders for the time being of more than 1,500 shares: Provided always that if, on the said thirtyfirst day of August, 1874, any person or persons, firm or partnership, shall individually or jointly with others, be the proprietor or proprietors of more than 1,500 shares, he, she, or they shall be entitled to continue the holder or holders of any number of shares which he, she, or they shall then hold m excess of 1,500 shares : Provided, also, that no further transfer of shares shall be sanctioned or registered in favor of such iast-meutioned person or persons, firm or partnership, after the said thirty-first' day of August, 1874, until and unless the number of which shall be held by each such person singly, or such persons, firm or partnership jointly, on the said thirty-first dft y ef August, 1874, shall first have been reduced below 1,600 shares, in which event the number of shares which such person or persons, firm or partnership, mav thenceforth hold shall never again exceed” 1,600.” Proxy-holder must be a shareholder, and the instrument appointing flim shrill be deposited at the Registered Office of the Company not less than twentyfour hours before the time appointed for the meeting.
