The amount of revenue received at the Cua t-i-a-house on goods cleared for oonsumptior■was this day L1,5(14 12s Id. Another dull week has passed, so far as the general market is concerned, nor have there been many transactions worthy of special comment. A further shipment of Messrs Joshua Brothers’ sugars, of Melbourne, has arrived, and it is expected they will be offered for sale at an early date. In currants a movement upwards has taken place, through advices received from Home, and in the early part of the week parcels were bought up speculatively. Holders are now firm at per lb. Good ling is scarce in the market, as also are white herrings. They are much inquired after. From whatever cause, there has been considerable demand for potatoes, which have, in consequence, advanced in price, and now command L 6 10s. In other goods prices are maintained, but quotations cannot be altered.
