Wellington, July 24.—Hunter and Nolan report dairy cows in good demand at L 7 10s to Ll2 ; fat cattle, 35s to 40s per 1001b. Unless shipments of cattle arrive, the supply will be most limited. Sheep are in limited numbers and keenly competed for, at 3s 4d per 81b.—G. H. Binney reports the grain market dull. Stocks in first hands very heavy. Oats, 5s ; barley, 5s 9d ; wheat, 6s 3d ; bran, L 7 10s • pollard, L 8; flour, Ll4 ; maize, 4s 6d; hams and bacon, lOd to lid; butter, Is 3d ; cheese, 8d; pease and beans, ss. Kauri, in logs and sawn, plentiful.
