SHARE MARKET.
I Mr Hooper reports that the share market is active, a large number of shares having changed hands. Shotovers have made a good advance, and he has sold a large number of ordinary at 4s, exclusive of call, and paid-up at 10s. He has also sold Arrow River shares at 9s lOcl Elizabeth, Star of the East, and Heart of Oak, same as last week. New Zealand Shipping have declined; present price lls 6d. South British Insurance 49s to 50s. National Insurance shares are dull of sale, sellers wanting 90s nett, buyers offering 295. Standard Insurance are also dull of sale at 12s od to 13s. Walton Park Coal Mining, sellers ss. Greymouth Coal, 9s.
