Land C»., submitted plans of boundary agreed upon by those parties, between their respective runs 109 and 209 North-eastern pastoral district, and which they wished adjusted. Mr Connell stated that tfco only difficulty was the altering of the boundary of the goldfield, and that had been got over by Mr Reid having said that it would be sanctioned. The Chief Commis sioner said the matter affected a very large territory-5,000 or 6,000 'acres-and he thought one of the runs being morfc--gaged, tjiat the mortgagee should be consulted. The latter was in England, and nothing therefore could be done until his Consent was received, as it would be nothing less than tampering with the records. Another thing was, that the Governor’s delegates, that is, the Provincial Executive, would be required to he consulted as to the alteration of the goldfield boundary. Mr Reid said the alteration would be allowed, and the matter was approved, but to stand oyer until the mortgagee’s consent is obtained. , Chief Commissioner read some notes he had set down with reference to the application of Messrs Joseph Harding and Co., for a site at the West Coast for a fish-curing establishment, and for 5,000 acres of land for depasturing and other purposes.
