Drunkenness.— Mary Allan, Peter Watson, and Samuel Parra, for this offence were each fined 4Us, with the option of fourteen days’ imprisonment; John Hyde, who stated that he had been thirty-three years in the Colony, 5s or forty-eight hours ; Lina O’Callaghau, charged with habitual drunkenness, was sent to gaol for three months. CIVIL CASES. Leary (as trustee in the estate of Goodsir, Peil, and Co.) v. Shadholt.—Claim, LlO 12s Bd, for goods sold. Mr Bathgate for plaintiff, Mr {Stewart for defendant. Plaintiff was nonsuited. Judgment was given by default in the following cases, together with costs Kingston v. Lawrence : claim, L3l 13s, for board and lodging and moneys lent; Blackadder v. Bryant : LlO 3s 6d, for implements sold. [Left sitting.]
