IS IT RIGHT?
To the Editor. Sir—Would you kindly inform me whether any part of the money that has been voted for a public work by the Corporation should be spent for the benefit of private individuals ? . At present the Corporation men are engaged in levelling RusseU street, and instead or the earth being used for filling in the road, it is being deliberately carted to, and deposited on property belonging to two private owners, one of these owners being no leas a personage than a City [Councillor,— I am, Ac., Growler. Dunedin, May 20.
