SUPREME COURT.

IN BANKRUPTCY. Monday, May 18. (Before Mr Registrar Ward.) Adjourned Final Examination. —On reading the statement of liabilities re • amuel and John Philp, the Registrar observed that they appeared to have let in all the tradespeople they coaid—to have given a turn to all the lot. However, as they were not opposed, bankrupts would receive their discharge, but it was a very narrow escape. Final Examinations. The cases of Robert Horne and John Stewart were adjourned to June 1 ; and that of nobsrt Lambert to the same date, bankrupt not appearing. In the case of Robert Donelly, the statement of liabilities showed amounts to be due to five different doctors, and bankrupt ascribed his failure to the expense attending his wife’s ill-health. There were also long bills for port wine and beer, and liabilities to a pawnbroking firm, who, it appeared, held a life insurance policy of bankrupt’s as security.--The Registrar said there was not a redeeming feature iu the case. It seemed bankrupt had been always earning wages at the rate of L.l per week, and was now getting L 4 10s per week; still he never attempted to clear off his debts, except by going through the Court.—Messrs Siev wright and Stout, for bankrupt, stated that bankrupt had always been paying off old debts, which kept him behind-band.—The Registrar suspended his certificate for three months. ' Adjudication. —Home Campbell Dickenson was adjudged a baakrnpt, the first meeting of creditors to be held on the 27th instant. PermoNs for Adjudication.—The oases of John Meikie, Henry Hendrick, and George Mitchell were .fixed for Jane 1. Execution of ueed.—The case of Joseph Ogilvie was ordered to stand over till his Honor’s return.
