Ladybird sailed this afternoon for the North. His Honor Judge Chapman was a , -passenger by her to Wellington. , Mr Street’s yacht Winona sailed this morning for Invercargill. Captain Stephen Tall pro- .: ceeded with her as coasting pilot. The ship Trevelyan was taken into the Graving Dock to-day. Her bottom is to be cleaned and coated with anti-fouling composition. The p.s. Peninsula was taken on Ishister’s slip this morning, and the s.s. Jane is employed meanwhile in towing the punts from the steam dredge to Carey’s Bay, The p.s. Samson,, having received a thorough overhaul, was taken out of Murray’s Floating Pock, and the p.s. Golden Age taken in for repairs. The Samson will leave for Oamaru on Tuesday morning. The repairs to the machinery of the p.s. Cqmeraug being completed she was removed to the railway pier to take oh board cargo, and will sail for Lyttelton and intermediate ports te-morrow afternoon. Yesterday afternoon two men named Crisp and King took a small dingy belonging.to the ' Winona, and proceeded down the harbor. The young man in charge of the yacht gave information to the police, who proceeded down in the police boat after them, when the dingy had got abreast of the ship Scimitar, she swamped, but the two men kept their places, and were shortly afterwards rescued by Captain Ferguson, and brought ashore by the police, .
