THE PORT CHALMERS REGATTA.
To the Editor.
Sir, —I was much surprised on reading the programme of the races to take place at Port Chalmers on the Queen’s Birthday to see that the All-comer’s Sailing Race includes yachts. 1 think there ought to be a separate race for yachts. The small sailing boats will stand no chance with such yachts as Dunedin and Port Chalmers can boast of. I hope the committee will reconsider the matter, and exclude yachts from the All-comers’ Sailing Boat Pace.—l am, &c.,
