. The amoun. of revenue received at the Cns tom-house on cleared for consumption thisfjday,' was L1,08317s 9d. The revenue of the Australian Mutual Provident Society for the last year amounted to L 31,667 ; and the accumulated fund has now reached to L 1,293,362. From Messrs Alkell, Tufts, and Co.’s Circular for March, we learn that on February 14 the barque William Gifford, 241 tons, sailed for Dunedin and Wellington; on February 18, the barque Eureka, 555 tons, for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Wellington; and on March 14, the schooner Marion, 366 tons, for Dunedin and Wellington. No vessels were loading for New Zealand when the mail left. The exports of kerosene to this Colony, for the ten weeks ending March 18 were 22,100 gals. The report of the Australian Meat Agency (Tallerman’s) Company, dated sth March last, shows a great falling off in the exports of preserved meats to England in 1873, as compared with 1872. In the latter, 321,785 cases were received in Britain, and in the former only 260,773, or a decline of 61,022. Queenland and South Australia, which are but small exporters, show an increase ; but Victoria, New Zealand, and New South Wales, all shipped much less. New Zealand, as an exporter, stood second on the list to Victoria, and shipped 77,966 cases in 1873, as compared with 86,200 in 1872.
