4 Wi&SH DOCTOR’S ADYEN TUBE WITH A MANIAC. The * North Wales Chronicle ’ reports a stirring incident which took place last week at Hirael, Bangor. Abqut 8.30 p.m., a man called upon Dr.O. T. Williams, wishing him to go at once to No. 4, Water street, Hirael, to see a man who was seriously ill. The doctor immediately proceeded to the house with the messenger; hut when they got inside, for some reason which to some minds must appear quite inexplicable, the messenger locked the door of - the house. The maniac, on perceiving "Dr Williams, courteously accosted him and addressed him as “ my lord. So far this beginning was pleasant enough. Instantly afterwards the maniac observed that he was proud and happy to see his lordship in this humble dwelling, more especially as he wanted to do him a particular favor. In fact, he wanted to behead him! Unfortunately, the doctor by this time had got into the corner farthest from the door ; and as he very naturally did not look on beheading as a great favor, be decided in his mind to “ beat about the bush ” for a time until a favorable opportunity for escaping presented
