AN EXPLANATION.
To the Editor. Sir,— l saw in yesterday’s ‘ Guardian’ the announcement of a monster cabbage at Mr Kimbell’s, Princes street, and said to be from the Taieri. It was grown at the above institution, and the exact weight was 44^1b. 1 would not trouble you with this if it had not been mentioned where it came from ; and as our gardener is over seventy years of age I think he ought to get the credit due to him. By your inserting the above you will much oblige.—l am, 4c., John Morrison, > Master. Benevolent Institution, Caversham, February 25.
