At the Railway Pier-Ships : Caller Ou, Christian M'Ausland, Zealandia, Jessie ■Headman. Th« ketches Grace and Mermaid, from Waikouaiti, hauled alongside the ship Christian M'Ausland to discharge. There was not a single arrival at the Port ywterday, and the only departure was the p.s. Samson, which left for Oamaru at 7 p.m., with a good complement of passengers. The three-masted schooner Elderslie was removed this morning to the inside berth at the railway pier, for the purpose of discharging piles for the new jetty. The s.s. Beautiful Star came down from Dunedin and coaled alongside the William Ackers, and sailed for her usual trip to Lyttelton and intermediate ports at 9 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Maori arrived at 11 p.m. last night and steamed alongside the ship Christian M'Ausland to discharge cargo, she having left Port Chalmers on the evening of the 22nd ; arrived at Timaru on the 23rd, discharged cargo and left for Lyttelton same day, arriving at Lyttelton on the 24th ; discharged and took in cargo, and left for her return trip at 7 p.m. and arrived at Akaroa at 11 p.m same day; took in cargo and left for Timaru at 5 p.m. on tli© 25th, arriving at 2 a.m. on the 26th ; left again for Oamaru at 2 p.m., arriving there at 7 p.m., but did not communicate with the shore, and left shortly afterwards for Port Chalmers, arriving' as above. Reports the barqne Jubilee and brig Pet at Timaru. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Lyttelton, December 26.—Arrived, Cyrene and Fawn, from Newcastle; Ryno and Kate Brandt, from Auckland; Mary Webster, from Kaipara; Jane Anderson, from the Bluff ; and Alert, from Pelorus. The mate brought the latter vessel in, and reports that Captain Flett mysteriously disappeared ten miles outside the Wellington, December 26.—The ship Duke of Edinburgh has been signalled outside " All well." She has about 200 Government immigrants, and immigrants for the Colonists' Aid Society settlement.
