THE GOVERNOR'S LEVEE
was held at Fernhouse to-day at noon. His Excellency was accompanied into the reception room by the Hon. the Premier, and the Hon. W. H. Reynolds, and the following gentlemen had the private entree :—The Bishop of Dunedin (Dr Neville), Archdeacon Edwards, the Hev, Dr Stuart, the Rev, Dr Roseby, the Rev. Mr Rigg, the Mayor of Dunedin, the Provincial Secretary (Mr Turnbull), the Provincial Solicitor (Mr Turton), the Hon. Mr Holmes, Mr R. J. Creighton, M.H.R. ; Colonel Cargill, Major Gordon, Messrs E. B. Cargill (Consul for Italy and Vice-Consul for the Netherlands), Houghton (Consul for tho IN'or tlx GermanCoufederation), H. Driver (American Consul), and Henderson. The general presentations were: —
