[By Telegraph.] London, December 4. — At the wool sales, prices remain without any notieable alteration. Australian sorts, Id lower; but second-hand lots are prejudicing the market. Die Liverpool sales were languid. December 6. ‘here has been a fall of 2d on inferior parcels of wool. A brisk competition was maintained yesterday. Altogether 43,400 bales were sold. Ihe sales close ou the 12th inst., and the February sales commence on the 12th of that month. Ihe oorn market is firm, and foreign arrivals large. The Bank reserve is favorable. C olomal securities firm. Copper, L 92 to L 93. Transactions in tin ore of average character at LIL). Melbourne, December 11. —Wheat very scarce, under small parcel, 5s 7d ; oats scarce, common sort 4s 6d ; flour in parcels foi'shipment up to Ll2 15s ; Hennessys case brandy has advanced to 295; candles slightly easier, ■and new English hops at Is Bid to Is j Bass’s light ale, L 8 10s ; Dagger s stout, 13s 3d to l&fid ; sugars in good demand at full rates ; teas in moderate demand.
