PUBLIC HOLIDAY.
To the Editor. Sir, —Wednesday, the 26th instant, is my son and heir Tom’s tenth birthday. In honor of the occasion, I have permitted him to invito his juvenile friends to a pic nic and game at football. This being a matter of grave public importance, I hereby respectfully request tho authorities to declaic Tuesday a public holiday, and trust the citizens will close their places of business at 1 p.m.—l am, Ac., Paterfamilias, Dunedin, November 22.
